Antonio Gerbase,

Born in Porto Alegre, where he spends regular periods, he has lived in Geneva, Switzerland since 1994.

He began his artistic training in Geneva, in 2008, in the area of ​​digital art and photography, and, in drawing and painting, as a self-taught, in 2010.

From 2013 he worked intensively in printmaking at the Museu do Trabalho, in Porto Alegre, under the guidance of Paulo Chimendes (lithography), Gustavo Freitas (woodcut) and Marcelo Lunardi (metal print). In parallel he developed painting with Paulo Olszewski and Maria Tomaselli.

He attended paint workshops in Geneva and Urbino (Italy).

From 2015 onwards, he had nine solo shows in Porto Alegre, Geneva (Switzerland) and Bertinoro (Italy) in addition to 14 group shows.

His works are spread throughout Brazil, where the Museum of Contemporary Art of Rio Grande do Sul (macrs) has incorporated the collection of 12 woodcuts «Art, individuals and society» to its collection, Switzerland, France, Germany, Norway, Spain, Portugal and Italy. In 2018 he illustrated the work “Santé sexuelle pour tous” Cycle des conférences 2017 ”, Paris, France.
